CLI agent
Amp
Sourcegraph
Amp is Sourcegraph's coding agent. It is built to work across a real codebase from the terminal and from editor integrations. Pricing is on ampcode.com. We are not quoting a number here; check the live page.
7.2
Preliminary
Editorial score out of 10. Not a benchmark.
What we tried
Opened Amp on a small multi-file sample and asked where a prop was threaded through. The useful part is the codebase search, not a single-file completion.
Scores are preliminary editorial notes from a short hands-on pass. They are not benchmark results, not pass rates, and not for sale. A shared task suite is not published yet, so we do not print speed, cost, or success-rate figures.
Preliminary notes
- Setup7/10
- Editing7/10
- Agent work8/10
- Docs and control7/10
Good fit
- Navigating a codebase you do not know yet
- People already interested in Sourcegraph's code search
Limits
- A paid product; confirm the plan before you depend on it
- Overkill for a one-file prototype
